| Around The South Bank
|
So... yesterday we went to visit some place around the South Bank... which is naturally located around the south bank of the river Thames in London... First we went to the London Aquarium... it wasn't the most exciting place on earth but it was quite nice... amazingly I found that I knew a lot about fishes already even though I'm rather afraid of them... hahahaha... yes I am... weird right? Well everyone has their phobias... Anyway... only at the end did we join a talk and we found that if we had gone for the earlier talks it would've been more exciting coz they do demos or whatever...Then... we came across this really weird exhibition called Cabaret Mechanical... it's like toys or mechanics rather that is pretty cool actually... it's like little little contraptions that are made of wood and metal and are moved by gears so that when you press the button it moves and the contraptions are mostly ironic stuff so it's pretty funny as well... then we walked down to Tate Modern... which is a gallery for modern art sponsored by the National Lottery... so it free... I always thought that I would enjoy modern art but I was wrong... it sucks!!! Hahahaha... I like surrealism thought... like Salvador Dali... it's pretty cool... so after we walk around the gallery for sometime... found that we were quite hungry so went to grab a bite and headed further down the bank... to the Globe Theater where Shakespeare and other great playwrites had their plays acted out... it's the only theater of it's kind that is still standing... pretty impressive ei... Yeah we wanted to go for a guided tour of the place but when we got there they were having an extra exhibition of the Frost Fair which was free again... hahaha yeah lucky us... the fair was to commemorate the time when the river Thames froze and the people of London had a fair on the river... I think that was in 1621... I'm not sure... pretty interesting exhibition... that was the end of the visiting for the day... went for Japanese Food at night... I was quite shocked initially that were splashing on food... but it turned out to be quite a bargain... the place is called Misato... located somwhere near China Town... the portion of the food was quite huge... but like me naturally.. I managed to finish the whole plate in a dash... the others barely finished theirs... hahahaha... but really it was really filling... then we went around and went to The Gadget Shop... where we got obsessed with this Nail puzzle and my sister ended up buying to of them... they're even doing it now really... they've done it like a hundred times already... Okay well... all for now... Cheers...
