Those of you who are in Melbourne should know that for the past... maybe two weeks... the Melbourne International Comedy Festival has been going on and if you don't know you then... you know now and you should really go see at least one... If you can afford it go for the more well known ones they are bound to be good but you should support the local comedians especially... Me and my housemates went to see Lawrence Leung... and here's the info of the show...
Under his bed, Lawrence has a locked briefcase of full of love letters he was too afraid to send. It has not been opened since 1996...He was a boy who liked puzzles. She was the principal's daughter. To win her heart, he boasted he could solve her Rubik's Cube in less than five minutes. He had to resort to taking the stickers off. Over the next fifteen years he would keep bumping into her, transforming his obsession with puzzles to how he would solve the riddle of unrequited love.Part human wildlife documentary, part good old-fashioned storytelling, Lawrence finally opens his Pandora's Briefcase. These puzzling pursuits are a marblebag of bittersweet delights.

The show was very friendly, funny, touching, and the best thing was that you can somewhat relate to it... Even though it was not one of those laugh hard kind of comedy... I still absolutely loved it... Good for the younger crowds...Labels: activity, O'Connell Residence, performance |
