Winter Sleepout 2006
The winter sleepout is basically a charity event held to raise funds for Melbourne Citmission to help the homeless and to raise awareness of homelessness... The sleepout I went for is held by the Rotaract Club of Carlton (University of Melbourne)... Ok first I should explain that we didn't actually sleep outdoors... just in like a hall... I was quite shattered when I realised we would be sleeping outside... but I guess it's the logical thing to do in Melbourne especially in the winter... Anyway so we gathered at a hall in College Square last night... had a feast... played some games... one of which was dog and the bone... which is basically a game where you have to run and grab a item placed in the centre of the room and get it back to your group and for some reason the girl kept calling my number so I had to keep running around... It was so painful especially since I was running barefooted on wooden floor... ouch... then we watched two movies and finally went to sleep... We started off with maybe about 20 or so people and as the night went on... There were less and less people around because everyone had assignments due soon and by the time I woke up the next morning... there were only 6 of us left... well 7 if you count Ash who woke up at 6 and went back to her room... she lives in College Square... but she came back down to help clean up... My neck is kinda aching right now... Man sleeping on the ground is just so bad for the back... I had to keep rotating positions to lessen the pain... But all-in-all it was fun... for a good cause... enjoyed the company... had a good time...

I Need A Break...
I've been working hard on assignments and even tutorial work so far... and I have to say... I'm sooo tired... It's mad... I've got loads of assignments this semester because I don't have any tests and also tutorials are assessed... I really need a break but spring break is not in another month... Oi!!! Who here is overworked raise your hand...

Guys & Dolls
So I went to see the musical Guys & Dolls by the Whitley Annual Residential Theatrical Society... The production is basically at the level of my high school English Literary & Debating Society's annual Literary Night production except that well we were an all-girls school... And well... Lit Nite was way better... was... it ended the year after mine... and also... the people who played two of the main characters Sky Masterson and Sarah Brown were terrible... well Sky was still rather tolerable... but the girl... man oh man she couldn't sing at all... note a single note... But overall it was at least funny... and the guy who played Nathan Detroit was good... At least I got to see some version of it...

The idea of having a themed dinner came from Julia I think but Lili and I were definitely along with the plan and Taz joined in later... and our first theme was Spanish... At first the idea was to have a three course meal but we decided to start out small so we went with 3 dish meal instead... We had Spanish rice, Tarragon roast chicken and vegetables, and potato omelette... I have to say it turned out fantastic... but then again it wasn't that difficult really... and it was fun... everyone enjoyed it... Next up... Roll your own sushi...
